Ok here goes... these are pics of my first build from scratch (I've built a kit before).  This is a modified OM with a wedge design (thank you Linda Manzer).  Top wood is #70203 from Mario, which the picture do not do justice - it is absolutely stunning. Indian rosewood sides and back from LMI.  The bridge is inspired by Ervin Somogyi.  (If I ever do make these commercially I'll have my own bridge design.)

The heart design is from my beautiful wife and best friend.  I learned a lot making this guitar.  The miters on the heart were especially difficult given the asymmetrical heart. 

The finish is a modified French polish using hard shellac.  I need to let it cure a few more weeks before buffing it out.

I think it sounds fantastic - strong bass and midranges but decent separation of notes too (of course I'm biased!)

It's not perfect, of course, but this feels like a good first step.  I would love your comments, feedback, etc.

Finally, I have not been an active poster but I have found the information in the forums to be incredibly helpful so thank you all for your posts, comments, etc.
